Good Idea?

i found a solution to my EFI problem...seems my dad has a 625 cfm carter carb in the garage he was going to sell. with a custom manifold (im working on it ) it should work nicely. According to RB a 6 port with a holley 600 cfm will make 180hp. id be pretty happy with that! Plus my other mods? how many hp do you guys expect? i was thinking it could be in the neighnorhood of 200hp-220hp. what do you guys think?

Sounds like a good idea. I'll even help you swap it out, if you let me take all of the efi stuff off of your hands (or at least give me a good deal on it).

I work in the 'shwa, so just let me know when you're up for it.

Isn't a 625 a little *big* for just a stockport?

NO! a 625 AFB is not too big , check my threads on this. I took the time to tune it properly. I listed all the jet settings for sea level

200-220hp seems a little high to me, im sure rb was using a high flow exhaust as well with their 180 hp, so i wouldn't be too hopeful

Check out the Canadian section. 84racing put 225 to the wheels with a holley carb.

(and a j-port)

If you need a manifold to cut on, let me know, I've got a couple of -se ones.
