Good color for 1st gens?

I am going to get my car painted in a while and I dont know what color to get it. My friends told me to get it orange but I want to know other peoples thoughts. I have seen many red cars and I want my car to look cool and stand out from the rest. I have only seen orange on 3rd gens but I have not seen it on 1st gens so what do you guys think? Thanks

what color is the original color? you my be able to mix color schemes. Suchas If your 7 is white then a whit on color X may work. my 7 was red then I had it painted black. looked sharp but the engine bay was red and that was embarrasing.

Throw a metallic flake into the stock color. That's what I intend to do with mine. Current color is white, and I plan to throw a red metallic flake into it. SHould be interesting when it gets done. Anyone wanna donate some money for me to experiment with? LOL

I'm going to get the whole thing painted. I also hate the bland black and ugly red interior so I am going to change the interior and the whole exterior of the car. Also, I want a color that catches peoples eyes when I drive by. The cars in the fast and the furious were like that but I dont want my car to look like them because I have seen many people try to copy there look and I think that it is stupid to copy.

i like the blue on my car. I'm getting my mirrors painted yellow tommorow and the three piece spoiler that i'm getting will be yellow tommorow as well, i post some pictures up when i have time.

p.s. don't start bitching about the yellow, i don't care if it's too flashy or of it's too ricey. i think it's cool and that's all i care.

i'm going for a gunmetal/pewter/silver/metallic kind of color... i'll know it when i see it, tho! somewhere right between black and silver. its red now, and i need something that looks ultra cool, but doesn't attract other colors..... such as flashing red and blue!

i like yellow on FB's. my project is was originally red, now sort of a burgandy. the bay doesnt look to far off from it, so i may go back over it with a sort of mettalic burgandy/orange kinda color.

I'm thinking about a nice metallic green... Not too dark, but not too light...

'Course that's about 2 years away... Lots of other thing to pay for first

My 80 was red, my 85 tender blue mettalic (in primer now, and still trying scoop up all the parts for my 12A),my 88 vert is white (my 1990 GXL was black , but I sold it). I never was crazy about the tender blue (85 going back to tender blue cuz I dont feel like completely stripping the firewall for paint) or the white. But price got me on both of them. Noticed that I picked up more girls with red than I did any other color LOL

and whoever said they were gonna paint their mirrors yellow on that blue, are you crazy? That blue looks good, dont ruin it by painting it yellow!

All yellow is cool, but two tone yellow and blue?

Treceb

Do you mean the really bright green on the SA's?

I have a toy 1st gen that colour. It's a bit brighter than what I want. Somthing about halfway between that and the Dark Green at the Audi site.
