going to weber set up on 13b?

I know this is the wrong forum for FCs but the other owners are all anti carb. OK were to start? The car is an 86 NA. I have a broken tps<$180>, a shorted computer, burnt wire harness. Also the engine is street ported and has a free exhaust and no emmisions. I firugre with these alone my fuel system need some up grading. SO instead of switching the wire loom and getting a new computer and TPS I was just gonna fork up the dough and go with a weber 48. What do you all think about this? I already have a TII and Ive put way too much time and money into my 86 to give up on it. The TII is gonna be fast so max HP isnt an issue on the NA. Oh also how do these set ups do on street cars?
Thanks
Sky

They do fine. Sounds like you already knoe what you want. A Dell'orto or Webber 48 Sidedraft is a GREAT street carb.

You should be A-OK,

The IDA is a downdraft version of the weber. It's the norm for a ported rotary here in Australia. We don't see them very often now and they're getting scarce (most guys whack fuel injection and turbos on their mazdas now )

Here's a pic i found somewhere

Nice Chrome. Bling! Bling!

Actually looks nice, but I am biased toward Rotaries.

BTW, I don't prefer downdrafts on rotaries, unless I am running a peripheral. (which I am not.)

Sidedrafts with nice long horns, give the rotary alot of needed torque where they need it, down low.

48 IDA is the best way to go...i don't like sidedraft too much, I kind of prefer downdraft instead.

Question, do the weber sidedrafts have to be modified like the Dellorto carbs from RB are?

I beleive the Webber sides are a little easier to get ahold of in the US. A little cheaper too.

Good luck!
