The going price?

What''s a good price for a whole rear end out of an 85 GSL from a junk yard? They quoted me $250.00 with no calipers. Also, do I absolutely need the master cylinder?

Too steep. You have no idea of what condition it's in and besides, $350 will buy you a parts car that you can take anything off of that you may need and then let the wreckers have what's left.

Or if you can come up with about twice that amount find a rebuilt with a warranty.

I gave $100 for an 84 GSL rear end complete, so yea I would say $250 is too high. Hold off and keep looking, when I first started looking for one thats what everyone was quoting me, turns out that there was one here in town.
