going from 4x110 to 5X114.3 wheel adapter

Have an 85 12a. Was wondering if i went with a 16" 205/40 rim and tire size if i'll have a problem with rubbing on the fender. The adapter will prob move tire out 1/2" or so i guess. and has anyone used the adapter cp racing has that takes your 4x110 to a 5X114.3.. its kinda pricy $80.00 ea.

I've looked at those, and I believe you'd add at least 19+ mm of offset.
I assume you could make it work with the rim offsets selected properly, but I don't have any idea what offset you'd need on the rims. Anyone?
If go foward with this, let us know how it works out.

I'm still holding out that we can get something to work out on the 4 x 114.3 custom rotor group buy from OC Supply. If someone can figure out how to get the axle bolt holes drilled.

Please don't use any type of wheel adapter. They can create bad high speed vibrations and are more likely to have the lug bolts loosen and destory the wheel or cause it to come off comepletly. I had a customer try some on his M3 to go from 5x120 to 5x4.5 and he couldn't drive above 60-65 mph with out it feeling like the wheels were coming off.

IC a guy is trying to get a group buy on some rims and has closed thread... Was wondering if anyone knows a reputable place that will custom drill rims. I would like to better looking and bigger rims than the one in the thread mentioned. Ic no reason to go to 15 in. thinnk 16's or 17's would look nice..
