GM in-tank install pictures

I have been runing my car now for about 2500mi with a GM in-tank pump. So far its working good. I like the in-tank pump better because it a little quieter than my other in-line pumps. Also I had a problem with my in-line pumps running dry when first starting the engine. I went thourgh two pumps in a month And I just wanted to have a good reliable fuel pump. Also there are some good high output pumps available. You can see the install pictures at my MSN site. The pump cost about $70.00 at the dealer. (The parts store was more!) If you have any questions just PM me I'll be glad to help.

I ended up doing a pump-in-the-sump deal to for my -SE
I used a 2ed gen pump (13b, FI ) pretty much the same setup you did and the same results. Why are your wires from the pump to the 'plate' not one piece ?? also on the pump itself is there a filter type screen ? there should be. what kind of in-line filter did you go with and where did you place it at ? On my setup a screen is over the pump inlet, on the pump, and i installed a fram (metal) fuel filter right next to the check valve, then hose to the hardline,at the firewall where the hardline ends, between the hardline and the delivery pipe i installed one more inline filter. Your tanks insides looks real clean too, good job. And you used the stock fuel level sender too ,,,right ? i did. I also used the plug from a stock -SE fuel pump so the connections were easy.

Mark,

Thanks for your reply. Also thanks for helping get started with this mod. I talked to you about the in-tank pump idea about a month ago. I ran the wires seperated because I was afraid they would rub on each other. Yes there is a screen on the inlet of the pump, and I also have a filter in-line (stock FC filter) up near the engine. And yes stock fuel level sender.
