GM HEI Direct fire questions

Alright I've spent all afternoon trouble shooting this set-up and the last hour reading old posts trying to decypher my problem to no avail.

What I have - 2 GM HEI's running the leading plugs
B's with + power
C's to -
W to + at the magnetic pickup (I think initab posted these directions?)
G to -

Like Jeff20B said I checked for positive power at all terminals and found it to be missing at W and G What could cause this? or is this correct?

I also fear that I don't have good connections at the magnetic pickup. No I DO NOT have a dead coil I can hollow out for this anyone have any other ideas?

I do have spark but no fire thus far.

As for the leading I have + hooked directly to the stock ignitor and the - running to the negative coil. I believe this is working correctly.

And yes the capacitor on the dizzy is hooked up

If someone could help me I would really appreciate it.

I am sure once you get yours fixed I will get mine fixed also. I think both of ours needs a dedicated power line from the battery.

My brother got his 2nd gen coils hooked up, it gave his car so much more torque, and now the throttle response is like the se's.

My setup has dedicated power from the battery and the result is no better. I also added a ground from the ignitor plate to the batt - with no better result
