There's a connector you can jump to turn on the fuel pump. It's on the passenger side engine compartment and it's a yellow female two pin connector that usually has a little rubber hood over it that isn't connected to anything.

All you need to do is jump the connector with the key on and the fuel pump will turn on. Make sure you don't short the connector that looks the same but it's three pins and green under the rubber cover; that's to adjust the throttle position sensor. At least you can check to see if the fuel pump works and go from there.

If you sit in the driver's seat, use your left hand to reach the fuse box, you'll feel two rows of fuses. The second fuse on the right side row (the fuse closest to you not the fuse farthest from you is for the EFI system. I thought it was the fuel pump fuse but someone here said it controls the whole EFI system. I'd check that fuse and maybe replace it even if it looks good. I've had fuses that looked good that weren't and they were such fun to trace the problem.

the two circuits look like this

the trailing ignitor in the distributor gives a tach signal to the tach, and the ECU, the ECU grounds the injectors.

the power side looks like this.

battery-> ignition switch -> injector -> ecu -> ground.
