getting that ugly molding off

For the people who hate that molding and want to get it off and are scared too dont be but be willing to put some time into it personally it took me 4 1/2 hours so be prepared.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE IT EASIER ON YOURSELF!!
A heat Gun of course
Bug and tar remover it worked great to get the left over residue off
YOU will need clean rags and if you want a plastic putty knife

SO Start off by heating the molding up and slowly peeling it off the will be leftover glue and plastic so dont worry

After you get all of the molding off it should look like this

Once you did that heat up left over rubber and glue and wipe it heat it up and wipe it then take the bug and tar remover put it on a clean rag and wipe it on the leftover residue you should get a clean finish like this

this is what i did after everything was cleaned up

You're going thru the trouble of taking the moulding off and NOT the pin striping?!? Personally, I would have, and have, done the reverse. The stripes make it look dated (in a bad way) and the moulding gives it distinction and not like a stripped down model. BUT, I completely respect your decisions. Just sharing my opinion.
