Getting my very own 12A FB

I am looking to purchase a 1984 RX-7 GSL in the next couple of weeks to build with parts from my dad's old roller '85 GSL. It has two owners and 77k miles. I'm just wondering what kind of maintenance schedule I should be on and what brands of oil/premix is the best for extending the engine's life as long as possible. Any advice at all is greatly appreciated

I like to change the oil every 3K miles and antifreeze every couple of years. The trans and diff fluid very 3-5 years. There is a maintenance schedule in the factory service manual here: Foxed.ca.

Now, with your current rebuild. You'll need to do EVERYTHING. This includes brakes, fuel soft lines, clutch master and slave, brake master, fuel filter, antifreeze, rats nest vacuum lines, T-Stat, water pump, etc. Some folks would say some of these things are OK, but after you start driving it things will start going bad.

Get it running and driving first. Do the normal antifreeze, oil, filter first and make sure it runs. Not road worthy but driveway running or around the block driving. Then start tackling the other things.
