getting leaves out of a/c blower

ok, next minor project:

when i originally turned the heat or air on, some leaves blew out of the vents. i think the volume of air coming out of the vents is lower than it should be. i took out the passenger seat to create some room for crawling around under the dash. i found the blower motor, dropped it and and all seemed well.

i can see what looks like a filter kinda behind the radio, but it looks like a bear to get to it. where should i be looking to clean out what i believe to be is "some rodent's bed" in the system? i don't wanna keep on pulling apart things that are perfectly ok, as i search for my problem.

by the way, some of you guys have some crazy nice rx-7's!
thanks for any help given.

The fall foliage gets in through the vent in front of the windshield. If you pull that and stick a small shop vac hose in there, you can pull a lot of that crap out. The down side is it's easier to clean out if you pull the wiper motor.
