Unhappy general rule of thumb. dont park your car 3 feet form the edge of a go-kart track.

ok i am a dumb ***.

ok so i have a go-kart track in my back yard. and today i pushed out my car to clean the garage in the back. i parked it about 3 feet from a nice long turn in the track. i figured no one would ride the track to day. so i cleaned the garage. and i got the hinkering to ride the karts. so i got on one took some laps around. i thought im a good driver i wont hit my car. so i took a few extra laps. the dirt is realy soft and makes it fun to slide around the corners getting side way is realy easy. i start the long corner off early and start the slide. and bam i hit a rock. the kart starts to tip. i lose controle. get all 4 wheels back on the ground and BAM right in to the dirivers side fender of my 7! the front of the fender is smashed in, the bumper droped down on that side and the front valace thing is bent! aint that a bitch. i hit the car going about 15mph. not to fast i slowed down alot trying to regain contole

the kart looks fine, just has red paint on it now and i have a nice mark on my chest form the seat belt.

any whoo the lesson to be delt here. dont park your car where there can be posible danger.

Since when did go-karts have seat belts???

I am glad you weren't injured. That would have been bad- the paramedics would show up and seeing your injured body next to the damaged car, they would ask if the car hit you, and you would have to say "Uhh, no. I hit the car."

Wait....

You have a Go Kart track...in YOUR back yard....and you chose to ride the Go Kart instead of the 7 on the track?

The nerve of some people. :P

the go-karts are ment for the dirt so they have seat belts in case of fliping and what not. thats why they have seat belts. and there enclosed like a big roll cage. it helps alot i have rolled them befor

when we first got them we demolished one beyond repair. i think it was rolled about 11 times. they have adjustable suspention. so we kept messing with it. and some combinations did not work to well. they have a solid rear axel with a chain that spins both rear tires. some how it got stuck in gear. and the little 6.5hp Subaru motor just bogged out and poped.

the track is a dirt track, we have a bit of land and a tractor so we made a track, the track is not that big. we measured it its about 1/8 mile all the way around.

i should plow it befor we use it though. then that big rock would not have been there. and i would have not ran in to my car
