Gear Change Problem

I have a 79 RX-7 with low mileage and a manual 5 speed. All at once, I am experiencing a problem with finding a gear and with changing gears. I really had to work to put the car in 2nd. And sometimes I cant' find any gear at all. I have had the manual transmission oil recently changed, and I have had no gear change problems before. The clutch is new and has only about a 2000 miles on it. Any ideas on my problem and what steps to take next.

Thanks

JRA

Wrong oil or perhaps clutch issues.

Have the clutch hydraulics been replaced? Often, after a clutch change, the new presssure plate stresses the old hydraulics and they soon fail.

check into the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder first. if not you may have a bad input shaft bearing or a faulty throwout bearing. or possibly the t/o bearing wasnt installed properly or the retaining clip has taken a ****.
