gauging intrest in a 12a turbo rail engine
I have a turbo 12a engine with s4 turbo, custom turbo exhaust mani, rb intake 45dcoe with boost prep by robert at rotary shack. custom sealed carb hat-bonnet, some tubing with I/C for top mount(this was in a baja). locked dizzy, the engine has 3000 miles after rebuild. I got it started a few times but could just never get it running as good as it did N/A. I had it bossting to 4lbs with the thunderbird turbo and it pulled hard. I stepped up to s4 turbo to let it breath like it needs to. I also have mallory 4309 and jegs inline fuel gauge.
I ended up putting a turbo v6 engine in the back of the 66 baja I have. the v6 gives me tons of torque down low to turn my 33 inch muds. the v6 poped right off with a hour worth of wiring and has been running strong since. I was thinking of keeping this engine but I have the oppertunity to buy another toy that I have been wanting, so here is the rotary.
it is not for sale yet, just trying to get an idea how much its worth, or what people would pay. I don't think it would fit in a 7 unless you put a stock s4 mani on it, but that should be about it.

I have more time than $$$ into it, just ask anyone who has done it. it only cost $1000 at most to get boost, it takes about $10,000 worth of time to do the labor.
I could probably get it running on the floor, the problem was when I put the carb hat on it would cause it to flood almost every time. I know with a little work it would start and run fine. I just had another motor sitting on the side that ran perfect before being pulled and summer is almost over and I wanted some PLAY TIME.
I might have a hookup on another $100 vw bug so I might put it in there and put it all together on the side. a turbo 12a bug with decent paint and int should pull$5000-7000 easy.
