gauge problems

im having some problems with my gauges. i changed my gauge cluster once i got my car running again. (85mph to 130mph) and now my oil pressure gauge doesnt work. Fuel gauge works only sometimes, and my tach is off, because, according to that, im idling at 0rpm. and my speedo is off by about 5 mhp, which isnt that big of a deal. any ideas as to why its doing this or how to fix it? thanks.

(and my speedo problem should be fixed when i put my other wheels back on)

Have you removed the needle for the tach? I did this and it threw my speedo off (didnt put speedo needle on in the right place). Also, if you push the needles back on too tight it will cause them to stick.

That's exactly what my 83 did and it turned out to be fuse problems. I think the 83 fusebox had poor contacts so they corrode easily. It's hard to replace the whole thing, but I went to the junkyard and pulled some contact sets out and transplanted them to my car. If you detach the box you can pull it down and see how to do the contact transplant.

I notice that after a while even some good fuses get green struff on the blades and become intermittent. One time the contacts for the ventilation fan completely corroded. Sometimes you can just wiggle the fuse and see the instruments jump around.

I've also tried Contact Cleaner, but only had mixed results.
