I like the Third but the Guage position may be real hard to read. So I would go with # 1.

Needles are illuminated, so it shouldn't be hard to see.

I was gonna say it's a tossup between the 1st and 3rd ones... 2nd one looks too cluttered. 4th one is nice, but I like the EL paper versus lightbulb illumination.

I went with the 3rd one because the 1st one has a lot of lit surface area. Might be a distraction at night.

Has anyone had thiers a LONG time? I heard EL paper has a half life of 300Hours. In that after 300 hours it gets half as bright...

Umm... I think the 1st three gauges are for a 84/85 and the 4th set of gauges are for 81/83. I believe the 4th set of gauges are the ONLY ones offered for the 81/83 models. Please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong cuz I really like the others better....

I have the third ones, but i bought them from an established distributor (not the cheapie kind). I payed about $75 for mine, from here:

www.streetracerparts.com

They were the first illuminated guages sold for first gens. I got them right when they came out. They have lasted to this very day (about 2 years maybe?) and i LOVE them. One of the best upgrades in the interior, in my opinion.
