Gas Tanks

Searched this one but couldn't find the answer.

I know the GSL-SE tanks are baffled compared to some of the 12A fuel tanks. Mazdatrix lists their 84-85 fuel tanks as being the same for 12A and 13B. Do they only sell one of the two because they both fit the chassis or are 84-85 tanks built like the SE tanks regardless of what engine came in the chassis?

The SE tanks are different. They have a sump in the bottom and the fuel pickup is different.

an SE tank will work in a 12A car but you will need to use the pickup from the 12A tank. outside dimensions are EXACTLY identical for the 12A and the 13B tanks for 84-85
