Gas Tank Venting

I have Just installed a Fuel cell in my Turbo -SE.... I need to figure out what im going to do with the tank vents...I would prefer not to run the vent all the way back up to the front to the charcol canister.... Any ideas if i just vent it outside if it will stink alot like gas? Also, what if i relocated the Charcol Canister next to the cell and route it in there, but dont have the other nipple connected to the engine as factory?
