wondering if someone can help me out a little. I am doing a TII swap into my 80 SA and somone told me that I wouldn't be able to use my original tank becasue of no baffles. They said that if I ran it lower then half a tank and took a sharp turn I could starve the engine of fuel. I believe that the GSL SE had baffles in the tank scince it was fuel injected, and I have found one for sale. Does any of this make sense to any one? If so how much different is the SA tank and the GSL SE to mount? Thanks in advance.

 

Yes this it true. The Se tank will not fit unless you modify and cut out the spare tire well area.

Do a search with the terms. tank baffle, Surge tank, Fuel tank, etc....
