Full RB exhuast or just RB components?

Would I be better off buying the full Racing Beat exhuast system for $600, or just buying the RB header and taking it to a shop and having them just put a muffler and stuff on it? To keep it from being ungodly loud I need to RB presilencer right?
By "better off" I mean money to performance ratio...

I don't really know much about this stuff as you can tell...

i have the full RB exhaust for sp 13b and i was VERY surprised as to how quiet it was. the system consists of road race header with dual side by side pipes, presilencer on each, then the RB primaflow muffler. very nice, deep tone and will never have a prob with the law concerning loud exhaust. i'm very pleased with it.

Which header does this complete system come with?
http://racingbeat.com/resultset.asp?PartNumber=16421
I just have a stock engine and I'm trying to decide if I should just buy their header and presilencer and then take it to a muffler place and let them make the rest of the system or just buy the whole Racing Beat complete package...

Just get the complete RB system. Rotaries require high-temperature mufflers and cheaping out on one component negates gains in the rest of the system.

The RB muffler is the thing that does the most silencing.

Alright, full RB setup it is. Does anyone have a picture of the RB exhust on a RX7? I'm just wondering how much different it looks from the rear than the stock muffler and tips.

Go for the full RB system: header, presilencer(s), muffler. Try to do it half assed & it will be ear-splitting loud & burn up in no time. Plus-RB sounds throaty & open -like a rotary should.

You mean, do all Canadian taillights look like that?

I didn't notice it before, but they don't seem to be smoked like in my US spec GSL-SE. Are they OEM or just clear replacements?

Strange, that's not what my RB Powerpulse muffler looks like. The tips are angled.

You've got the old style RB tips (stainless steel) - the new ones are polished without the slant

I like 'em both, but I like them for the performance increase instead of the looks

If you don't mind the noise, the RB header and presilencer mated to a Magnaflow produces a very low tone coupled with a loud exhaust note.

I'm still getting used to mine, but the sound is actually pretty nice. The muffler I bought was ~100 USD at www.hottexhaust.com , all stainless steel and lifetime warranty.

Did they change the internal construction?

The original Power Pulse mufflers were straight cut .. then they went angled, and are now straight again once more

I don't mind something louder than stock, as long as it doesn't sound anything like a fart tube....

well I have a RB presilencer on my muffler and it's still loud. I've been thnking about putter a magnaflow muffler after the presilencer to the muffler on it now and see what that sounds like.

well I like loud exhausts, previously owned a Honda. And well I don't mind my exhaust, but I do wanna make it a deeper softer sound without taking my muffler off.
