Fuel Tank Head Scratcher

GSL-SE. So I finally bit the bullet and dropped the tank. Lots of rust inside. The main filter was recently replaced and I added an additional filter between the tank and fuel pump. Bought the kit from KBS, applied everything as per instructions and re-mounted the tank. Now, I get no fuel pressure to the main fuel line. Pump was recently replaced and is working. I can both hear it and feel the vibration. Check the lines for blockages and everything looks good. Just not getting fuel. About 2.5 gallons was added to the tank. Any ideas? Pump sucking air somewhere? I tested with a gauge at the main fuel line and at first it was about 5-10 lbs and after that zero. The jumper line was in place when I was testing.

It might need to be primed. I recently installed a good used MSD pump in a 1st gen for an EFI swap. We knew this pump was good because it came out of his other car, though it sat for a bit. I eventually came up with an idea to pressurise the tank which helped push some fuel down into the pump so it could start moving fuel on its own. Seemed to work. This explains why a brand new MSD pump is filled with a light oil. Not only does it keep stuff lubed internally for storage, but the liquid helps get fuel into the pump quicker on a first try so as not to require "priming".

How about the slosh cup? Could the sealant have blocked the openings?

Okay, so I dropped the tank to check lines, etc. Everything seems perfect. While doing this, I put the fuel lines in a 3 gallon gas can and checked the pump pressure. Only came up with 10 lbs. What the Hell!! This is a new pump with a total of about 50 miles on it. What else can I check? I bought the pump at Rock Auto, I hope it still is in warranty. Any horror stories of "new" pumps burning out?
