fuel return/OMP

i have a Dellorto 48 side in a stock rebuilt 12a through Bacing Beat's Exhaust. i was wondering about fuel pressure (about 3psi??) and regulators. should the regulator put excess fuel back into the tank through the return line? who makes a regulator suitable for my carb. Also will running my OMP open all the time work, i'm not too familiar w/the system. is there a better way to do it, I.E a variable throttle controlled OMP set-up like the stock one. will longer velocity stacks help for more *****? i'm new to carbs but i got a good deal and i fell in live with the throaty sound of this carb. Please give advice.

You can run it either way I believe, return or deadheaded, but Im not an expert on Dell's.

And DONT wire the OMP wide open. You'll get alot of extra carbon build up and foul your plugs.

I've seen dellortos both ways. Mine does not have a return fitting. There is supposed to be an OMP rod that comes with the dellorto from Racing Beat. Mine has seen better days.

You can wire the OMP to the 9 o'clock position. Just ask Dan Atkins for more details.
