yeah can i take the fuel pump from an 82 gs and put it in 83 gsl? i know that i can and that the car runs. BUT i dont know if i have to swap regulators too. and if i have to swap regulators i dont know where they are anyways. so yeah input. NOW. PLUS what psi does the 82 run at. cause i can compare and know from that.

 

Should be the same pump if they are both oem.

 

they arent though. the 82 pump is a diaphram, i think thats what theyre called, and the 83 has a impeller or whatever they are.

 

With the idiotic prices of oem dealer parts, you can probably get by cheaper with a carter pump and a Holley 1-4 psi fpr.

 

This works well if you actually have the pump wired so it pumps and doesn't suck.....
