Fuel pump rewire?

Okay guys and girls, I'm running an efi pump for my blowthrough set up on my 83. I figure I should rewire the pump to make sure I get proper voltage. Whats the best way to go about doing this?

Thanks, Ed

By 'rewiring' do you mean just replacing the existing harness wire with one that is more robust in order to assure full voltage at the pump?

Yeah, I was told that I should make new wires to the aftermarket pump.

Thanks, Ed

Yea, run a new power wire and then use the old one to trigger a relay.

This will let the current draw through new fresh wire and the old wire will simply be there as a trigger.
