PA fuel pump question with a RB Holley

I have a stock port 79 with a RB Holley 465 and RB header. I was wondering if the 6psi Carter fuel pump (GP4070) would be sufficient and if it would be fine to run it without a fuel pressure regulator. I just looked and the car is currently running the stock pump. It runs fine, but I have a feeling that there might be a little more top end with the new fuel pump. Thanks.

the reason for using a regulator is to reduce the pressure if the pump makes more than u need. since the holley needs 6 psi, and the pump ur using is 6 psi and no more, then u wont need a regulator.

Thanks for the replies. FWIW, I did search and read so many threads that my head spun. Many were not exactly for my situation...larger holley, street port, stock carb, weber, etc. After reading through them, the 6psi Carter seemed like it would be a decent choice for my needs, but just wanted to confirm before I ordered anything. Thanks again.
