Fuel Pump mount pics

Hey guys,

I mounted my fuel pump today, I've heard other setups, and i wanted to make sure that my pump would be as quite as possiable. I welded 2 bolts to the chassis, and installed the pump with the ruber sole of a boot between the pump and the chassis, and some rubber in between the pump and nut and washer. it should absorb most of the virbrations from the pump hopefully. Another question i had is i mounted the regulator sideways, i was just wondering if it'll be ok and have no effects this way, please take a look at the pics.

Thanks, Matt

Looks good, I like the rubber inserts for the driving. my mallory is "solid" mounted. I think the noise level will be the same .I have mine on the inside of the rail in front of the tank on a plate desigened to keep the pump "tucked" away. But it looks good, never the less . good luck!

Is that a 10psi gauge!??!?

And the regulator should be fine like that.

Sounds to me like you might be curious as to where he got it?

I'm not sure though. Can you be clearer? maybe rephrase?

Its a 10 Psi gauge, I like it cause it has a 3 inch face. nice and easy to read. Its not technically a fuel gauge, its a hydraulic gauge. I got it off ebay from a hydraulic supplier. Do you think running Fuel to it will screw it up? I'm pretty confident it'll be ok. I've read that the most accurate parts of the gauge are at the very top center of them, and since i wanna be in the 5 PSI range for my weber it should work well. I just finished putting in all new fuel lines too, 3/8 supply, and 5/16 return.

I usually mount those Holley fprs on the pinch weld in a horizontal position. The included flange works well for that. In your case, I don't know with that big *** gauge. I've seen smaller tachs. LOL.

Dont think that was a wise chioce mounting the fuel pump horizontally instead of vertically. The directions and warnings clearly state that mounting this particular fuel pump horizonally can cause malfuntion and possibly a fire because of gas leaking out. Looks good other wise.

damn it, i posted before and everyone told me to mount vertically, It woulda been soo much less work to mount horizontally. ah well, as long as it works well i'm happy. ANy one have any clue about if hydraulic gauges will work fine in fuel setups.
