Just curious to see if anyone has an idea of you long a typical GSL-SE fuel pump lasts? I've replaced almost everything else on the car that *may* fail, and have nightmares of the fuel pump crapping out when I'm 2 hours from home. Just trying to be proactive and make a 20 year old car as reliable as possible.
Anyone use an aftermarket brand, and know how good those are?

 

i've still have the stock one on my 80. no problems yet.

 

I had my pump on my 83 for 19 years or 210 miles before I had to change it out.

My 2 SE's have the original (124k and 170k). I "cleaned" up the connections on the 170k one, still works great.
