fuel pump blown?

i was drivin the rex today and it's been kinda stutterin cause we're still trying to get the kinks out with this new carb on; well i got it to about 8000rpms and it just stopped. i was like, "APEX SEAL = GONE NOOOO!" pulled into a neigborhood and then it cranked back up and revved real nice no problem. then it died. then i noticed it wasnt getting any damn gas! MUHUAHAHHAAA, soooo. FUEL PUMP TIME!

hey man the exact same thing happened to me. but i think that i messed up the wiring because my 7 would drive great, but when i hit bumps it would bog and turn off. so i checked the fuel pump wires and they would disconnect.

yea, if i put a 13b pump in there it will push waaaay too much fuel. i actually have a holley fuel pump i can use. i would like to put it on there but i dont a regulator right now. hahaha. so i'm gonna hit the salvage yard again tonight and grab a stock fuel pump for the time being. could a fuel pump that is really starting to go bad cause a weird idle?
