Which fuel pres. reg. and pump for 12a pp with Weber 48ida?

I am building a peripheral port 12a and will be running at least a Weber 48ida. It is necessary to upgrade the stock pressure regulator and fuel pump and if so what should I go with?
I don't know much about fuel systems for carbureted engines except that the fuel pressure is quite low

There's no stock pressure regulator but you definately need to add one as well as upgrade the pump. I'd probably look at a Carter Black or Gold pump with a Holley 4.5-9psi regulator.

I would also recommend going to larger ID fuel line from the tank all the way to the carb.

One thing I forgot is that you should have the float bowl on the IDA extended. When cornering hard on a low tank of fuel mine used to cut out because it would suck the float bowl dry. Having the larger float bowl gives you a bit of extra leeway.

i agree with revhead. you can either extend it OR extend the fuel storage area. remove the top cover, you will see that there is another secluded compartmetn. if you drill a hole in the lower section of the partition (or wall), that will offer more gas.

Good idea. Never heard of doing that before.
