fuel/pickup tube prob.
Scenerio, this morning got a lil down the road and car died. Realized I wasnt getting fuel to the carb. I was pretty sure it was the universal cheapo pump that I had on there so I bought a red top holley pump today. Got the car running but still not getting the fuel it should.
For some reason I think I'm getting air. I have a glass fuel filter up in front and I can watch the gas come in spurts. Put my finger over the line, air then gas and then air come out. Checked all my fuel connections, no leaks. I also hooked up a air can to the fuel line and blew back from the carb to the gas tank with the cap off. I can here the gas bubbling and air coming out the fill hole so im not thinking I have a kink or a clog, plus the car ran great yesterday. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this. I recently had my gas tank gutted and resealed. With a new pick up and fuel sending unit put in. Input would be greatly appreciated!!!
