Fuel Injector Cleaners ???

I'm attempting to clean my injectors on an 84 GSL-SE. Does fuel injector cleaner burn cleanly enough to use in a rotary? Anyone have horror stories after using it? How big of an effort is it to remove the injectors? Thanks.

it shouldn't hurt anything that i know of. it is very flammable and very potent. i accidently poured gas down my arm with injector cleaner in it and it burnt the **** out of my arm. i'm going to be dumping a bottle in my fc here soon if you want to wait for a gunea pig.

Injectors are not hard to get to with a GSL-SE, and I've gotten to where I can remove the upper intake manifold, all vacuum hoses, both coolant hoses, and all electrical in 20 minutes or so - and have the injectors in my hand. Putting it back together goes about the same, but you need to leak test the fuel rail and injector o-rings with a shunt wire across the white 2-position connector under the Air Filter housing. Check your repair manual for exact location and how to test - you DO have a repair manual, right???

Anyway - the SE's are not that hard to work on, but God forbid you have an idle problem - you'll be playing with it for weeks, or like me, throwing money at the small parts until you get frustrated and take it to the dealer for diagnosis! More results on this later,...

My car floods every now and then and I know about it injecting fuel to warm it up and maybe I havn't been warming it up good. I thought the injectors were leaky. Could they just be clogged? What injector cleaner should I use?
