fuel filter

Where is the best place to locate the fuel filter within the engine bay? I'd rather have it there then where it is now because it's a big pain to replace it on my dirt driveway.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Not sure of the best spot to place it, however I have another fuel-filter related question to add:

I've noticed (in the VicBrit Catalogue) that there are different filters for SA and FB cars.... Does that make a huge difference? The local rotary supply place gave me an SA filter for my 84, I installed it, but it seems fuel starved now.... that could be other problems, but I just wanna know if there's a huge diff?

I dunno man... I think I'd keep the one under the car if I were you. It's located before the pump and probably helps keep the pump from getting damaged with dirt.

I was under the impression, the engine bay filter is an extra filter. In other words, you keep the stock one.

just put a filter in your primary and secondary barrels to make sure that no extra dirt between the fuel pump and the carb does not gets in there. LOL
