found my oil leak...
I was replacing my lower oil lone because it had a smack crack in it. When I finished that I went to turn the car on and there was STILL oil dripping from the oil cooler! It was about 11pm by this stage so I just left the car on jack stands.
Today I got back to it and found out that the top tread on the oil cooler is cracked! And the fitting wasn’t sitting in tight! I’ll try and get some pictures to explain.
What I’m planning on doing now is oxy welding the thread back together along with welding the fitting tight in so it won’t ever leak again.
Are you able to use brass oxy rods on aluminum? That’s all I have, or should I go buy an aluminum rod?
Thanks
