Float Mesurements

Does anyone have the float measurements for the stock Nikki carb. Mine are screwed up froma previous rebuild, and the needles are sticking open, dumping gas into the carb after I shut it off from the pressure relieving. I figure, I'll clean the needle seats, and adjust the floats properly. Sterling?

Ok, with the airhorn inverted, the gap should be 0.63" between the gasket and bottom of the float (all relative). Hold the airhorn normally now and measure from the bottom of the gasket to the bottom of the float (again, all relative to the way your holding the air horn). This measurment should be 2" exactly.

Invest in a caliper. Way easier than measuring with the piece of plastic in a rebuild kit or eyeballing against a rule.

I think I've seen calipers in several catalogs. I got mine by investing time digging through boxes of tools that my wife's grandfather used to have. Found all sorts of good stuff.
