Flasher Unit???

I just got a hold of an 84 RX-7. First time owner, it is a blast to drive. I have one small problem. I have to drive with the window open most the time to do hand signals. It seems like the flasher unit is dead, so I picked one up at NAPA. Not a big thing, until I tried to find the darn thing to replace it. I gave up with no joy , if any one can give me directions to where the thing is Hiding I would be truly greatfull.

Thanks,
Tony R.

tony, thats because you have a flasher cpu. its a black box with a grill located on the driver's side kick panel. four bolts and one conector hold it on .
