Flaring brake line

Anyone ever flare a old brake line? I wonder if it will flare being it's 23 yrs old..

U can buy a brake line from a parts store for like $2. That a better way to go.

Yeah, you're better just to get new lines. I got new lines for the rear axle when I swapped it and with a cheap line bender and a flare tool, they turned out allright.

Get new line at Napa or simular store, also make sure to DOUBLE FLARE the brake lines. I had a hard time trying to get the old tubing to flare correctly.

Make sure the new line has the correct fittings, I think I re-used the stock brake fittings.

Yeah, I did the brake line from drum-to-drum this summer when I did the entire system. Just get new line. DO NOT re-use old lines, since I got a 60" "Japanese" line from Canadian Tire for 5$ canadian. They're your brakes man, don't risk it over 5$!

I think brake lines must be double-flared. Right?

Use new lines. After 23 years this is a good chance to replace them.
