Flaking inside the rotor housings.....

I just tore apart a 13b i wanted to rebuild but i noticed some flaking around the edges....How much is too much? Also what about really small imperfections such as scratches, How would that affect the motor?
Lastly, i noticed that there were some black areas, it didn't look like carbon, maybe worn out?

Any input is great!

well all of it affects compression, its up to you to decide how much is "ok". generally about 3mm on the edge is the limit. new housings run a lot better

Were is the black stuff at?? If it is on the side facing the inside of the oil pan they have been over heated and should be thrown away.
