fixable?
fixable?
Driver's side fender and door damage from a moron in a Lexus SUV backing into my parked car. To fix the door, I think I just have to pull it off, and straighten the edge - although I'm not sure what's the best way to do that.
As far as the fender goes, I'm not certain. Finding a good SA fender out here isn't easy, and I'd like to get this fixed soon. Can I remove the fender and push/pound out the dent? How about puller? Body repair is not something I've really attempted before.

everythings fixable...as per the fender you should be able to pop the worst of it out...door is an easy fix...just do like you said pull it off and straighted the edge...you will however not get all the dents out of either...if you wanted to get the small stuff out once you've fixed the biggest part of the damage you would have to grind the paint off and body filler it smooth...it would be convenient if you were going to paint your car just after you got hit then you wouldn't have to worry about it...
So do I pull the dents out of the fender (with a puller or something?) or to I pound them from the back? I figured it'd take some filler to get them smooth, then I'll paint them. The whole car will be painted next year, but I have a new hood and valence that have to be painted now anyway, so most of the front end will be painted soon.
I've just never done this stuff before and I'm not sure what the right way is.
