ok with a 2200-2400 pound car you would need about 145-165 horsepower (at the wheels?)to get a 14.4 timeslip @ 95mph.
this, as far as I know, is not doable with a stock port, even if we're talking good intake and exhaust. I do not think that a street port with a nikki can get over 180 at the motor. peejay says he got 135hp on his stock carb street port. I forget if that is at the wheels though. that all said I do beleive a 12a can beat a Cobra. If the 7 driver is good and the 'stang driver cannot drive. Just my $.02, somebody tell me if my numbers or thoeries are wrong. |

Oh shit then what am I gonna run at 275hp in a 2400lb car + my fat butt? :) Holy shit, im starting to get anxious now, and if anyone wonders why the hell I sit the whole weekend on this forum, well I got my 4 year old and we tried that 'play in the garage while daddy works on the motor' Well turned my back and he was trying to put a stick in the air intake. Rounded up my 4 year old and headed back in the house :) Be glad when he gets a wee bit older he will become a GREAT helper ... Just right now, i dont feel like fetching nuts/bolts/sticks outta the motor :( Anyone blame me?

oh my weight was 130 then im at 125 now.

I think you need to leave it at that and also write down the threadid # so that the next time this crap starts up you can simply tell the critics to shut up and hit the link....;)

mike,
When I used cartest I came up with these numbers for my project. I would expect a 0-60 in the high 4 sec range, running the 1/4 in high 12's low 13's and a top end of 160 - 170 mph. I used this on cartest assuming 2300 lb FB and using an average of turbo 7 dynosheets. |

Im 5 10, 185 pounds normally weigh 135-140 but ive been very very stressed lately, havent been eating good. it seems like ive been only getting one descent meal a day, weighed myself today at 124 lbs with digital scale and still had all my clothes on with my big jacket. the worst part is im a medium bone frame,so you can only imagine, i look like a cocaine addict right now, well thats enough of that. |

Good job with the timeslip V8kllr, I retract the flag lol. I agree that you've likely got somekinda ported motor in there...
at 25% loss I'm pretty sure rotaries usually have rather small percentage losses. Look at the FD, 255 flywheel and usually 220-230 to the wheels stock. The SCC FB project car put down a really good number stock too, I can't remember exactly but I think it was approx. 95 to the wheels. So he might only need around 140-145 flywheel to make 125 to the wheels. That IS definitely possible with a stock port, albeit not likely with a stock carb. That said though, are you assuming a 1900 weight with driver? That is very light indeed, but I know nothing about lightening FBs so I won't comment. i look like a cocaine addict right now, |

Stick cars generally won't unless they're running a combo that has a ton of extra weight for durability introduced into the drivetrain, ie., Jericho tranny, Moser axles, heavy drag slicks, etc., all at the same time... |
Man you all are making me feel bad! I am only 14 Yrs old, weigh 196, at 5' 7"! I need to go on diet :D So NO you are NOT the only 'BIG BOY' here :D LATERZ,

Hes got a small block Chevy built to the HILT. I bet this car is fast, I got some pics of it, but this is probally not the right forum for em. I think maybe I need some MORE STRESS, i could stand loosing my beer gut I have accumulated :) Oh and Mar3, he also threw a piece of gravel into the air intake hose, I got it out, but damn he PISSED daddy off. Put it this way he wont ever touch it again, he knows better now :) |

I'm 17 6'-3" 210 lbs, also "perfectly ratioed" I'm the quiet tough guy at school, no one fucks with me. :D Everyone who sees my car wonders how the hell I fit in it, I'll tell ya how my hair rubs the damn headliner and my right knee hits both the steering wheel and parking brake. I don't care it's worth it first gen's are the coolest car ever made, hands down. :D :D :D
