First Gen Suspension Setup

Hello everyone,

It seems that every time I try to look or ask question in this forum I advised I don't have enough posts, so here is another one.

Just need some thoughts on modifying the suspension of my Series 3 for trackwork.

Regards

Take a look at www.re-speed.com Great products and customer service. Billy runs the site, his screen name on this forum is Bwaits (feel free to PM him if you have specific questions). I can attest to the fact that their products are top quality and perform great....

From road to track Part 1

Hello everyone

I'm still trying to get my posts up to the required number so here is another one.

I purchased my Series 3 as a pristine road car five years ago intending to keep it as a road car. But as time goes by all things change.

Regards

From road to track Part 2

Hello everyone

I know this is perhaps a bit boring but I'm just following the rules to get my posts to the required level.

After buying my Series 3 I proceeded to compete in some tar hillclimbs. In Australia tar hillclimbs are usually up to a mile long and you compete against the clock.

First I installed lower springs all round, removed the rear swaybar and replaced the front swaybar with a stiffer adjustable bar to improve the vehicle handling.

To further improve my times I fitted slightly wider rims and Yokohama Advan tyres (tires in US spelling).

After competing in several events I decided I needed more......

The story continues

Why do you need a higher post count? If you really do need to make posts to get what you want, I would recommend going to the non technical section (at the top of the 1st gen sections main page) and post comments in other threads in there. No need to start new threads yourself that way.
