CP Racing makes and continues to develop really neat stuff of the 1st Gen including a Rack-n-Pinion conversion kit.

Big Brake Kit

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...postid=2660339

I was looking around for further information on potential brake upgrades this last week. I was strongly considering putting together brakes custom, so I was looking for distributers of Brake parts when I ran across a brake kit that is made for the 1st gen RX-7. Looking at the information that they have online, I was curious, so I sent them an email, and started communication back and forth with them to get the skinny. Anyway, here's the details:

Price: $1399
Front Brake Kit
Using Wilwood 13" rotors (~8 lbs), Forged Narrow-mount 4-piston Dynalite Calipers (~3.2 lbs), Stainless Steel lines, pads, mounting hardware, etc.

They can make it with either bolt pattern. This kit would require 17" wheels, which I wasn't too excited about personally. Their rep said that they could use the 12" rotors, and that would allow 16" wheels, which I did like. I have a picture but I am having some issues getting onto my computer here at work. I'll try to attach it later.

Anyway, If your interested, the company's web site is here.. Send requests for info to peter@precisionbrakescompany.com, he's a cool guy. Oh, and tell him I (Brandon) sent you.

There are several vendors with big overpriced prices for front big brake kits only out there. Nice find and all but $1399 for just the fronts is a rip. And 13" front rotors is WAYYYY too much brake for a light 1st gen rx7 unless you have the power of a 3 rotor turbo which few of us have.

Go to http://www.sevensonly.com/RX7%20Brake%20Upgrade.htm

Last I checked, it was $1000 for front and REAR big brake kit.

Finally! A turn-key, bolt-on brake system upgrade for your 1st Gen RX-7!
Also available to meet SCCA E Production Rules

All billet aluminum calipers**
4 piston, differential bore front caliper
4 piston rear caliper
11-3/4" vented rotors
Aluminum hubs and hats
4 on 110 bolt pattern
Requires 15" wheels or larger
Fits 1979 - 1985 Models*

** E Production version utilizes stock calipers
(*GSL-SE kit available soon)

cpracing used to be a business but has been out of business for a while. That is now linking for spam ads.

ReSpeed has, among many other things, a R&P kit that is much better than the old CP Racing one.

RotaryShack has a lot of stuff, particularly pertaining to blow-through carb setups.

Banzai Racing has polyurethane motor mounts and a couple of other items.
