First Gen as a good weekend Auto-x/Race car?

Oh yeah, the other car I'm looking at is an E30 BMW. A little more expensive, but also great cars. I have always owned BMWs and Rotories. I also looked at 2002s but those, I find, run expensive when in good condition.
