Finding a mechanic

Is there a list of rotary mechanics per city out there. I'm in Bum @##$ing egypt in west texas and can't seem to find anyone able to work on these awesome cars. If anyone knows of one near me please let me know, I'm in desperate need of a rebuild. Every time I start the car I have to choke it, causing a smoke screen effect and the neighbors to call the fire department. It's getting old. THanks in advance.

I've never seen any kind of "technician list", but I've also never really seen many rotary specialists who aren't at a rotary specialist shop, which aren't too hard to locate assuming there's one near you.

If you are very interested in rotary power, you might as well learn how to do the work yourself. They are very simple compared to piston engines. A Haynes RX-7 manual, a dowel pin puller, this forum, and maybe an Atkins rebuild video are the only things you should need to rebuild one in addition to standard automotive tools and the required gaskets/seals/etc.

Or you could just order a rebuilt motor.
