Finding 15" wheels for SE is a pain...

Tire Rack... virtually nothing

TreaDepot... ugly stuff

Tires.com... strange stuff

The only respectable 15" wheel that I've been able to find has been either the Exel line from WheelMax or these from Ebay.

Any ideas on other options? Opinions on these two? Going to put them on a silver car. ...thx....

Seems like the 4x100 is easier these days! The Rewinds for example give you a great option.

4x114.3 shouldn't be that hard to find. Try American Racing Wheels or Enkei (sp?) or something like that.

Also, as stated above, you don't know what pain is. Try having the 4x110 bolt pattern. Virtually non-existant. There is mabey 1 or 2 wheels currently produced in that pattern, just 8 months ago there was one that was discontinued, the Kosie K1 from tire rack that actually looked pretty good. Beyond that its just the Konig Rewinds. BTW, I do believe those are available in the 4x114.3 pattern.

Its a little more than a $1000 for a set of 4 Panasport rims. They are uber expensive. In the range of $500 to $600 per rim. I could be wrong, but I know I read that somewhere.

+1 for panasports thats the only thing Ive seen that I like and fits well (and readily available). I havent really looked at enkie but those Ive seen are as much or more than panas. Rewinds dont come in a SE friendly offset or I would be all over them!

Lancer OZ rims

For what it's worth: my sentra has a 4x114.3 pattern and I've done a good bit of wheel shopping for it.. I've always thought the 15" OZ rims from the Lancer OZ edition were a nice.. 15", 4x114.3, light and can be found on the cheap

Yep, no Rewinds for the SE. Panas and Superlites are nice but $$$$$. I've seen a few Enkei and Konigs that I like but not available in 15" 4x114.3 pattern.

Wacky Racer, i'd dig the Epsilons if I could find some! My last set of meshies got stolen.

15" rims are becoming harder to find as most wheel manufacterers are making 17"s and up.
In my search for wheels for my SE, I have come to the conclusion that I will be going with either Rota wheels or Sportmax wheels as they both offer 15" wheels with a nice lip that adds to the looks of the wheels. I have also given in to the fact that I may have to upgrade to 16" rims just to find a good tire as 15" tires are also getting harder to find.
Hope this helps.
Joe

I haven't found one locally but have been looking at the Rota RB model which looks like Panasports. They are available in 15X7 ad 15X8 with a 15mm offset so they are my top choice right now. Check Rotausa.com OR rotawheels.com for info. I am looking for a local retailer BUT have to finish my motor install before I get new wheels.

I have a set of 15 Borbet alum wheels in great shape with low profile tires on them.. I want to go back to original rims... There is nothing wrong with them.. tires have about 85% tread left.... I will take 850.00 plus shipping if you are interested.. I have pics of the wheels on my GSL-SE if you want to see ..at 850.00 they are a steel ..and that is with the tires!! All you have to do is put them on... just trying to help a fellow rx7 er ..If really interested , let me know... I don't want to play games... see ya!!!

if you decide to bigger than 15's you can get Lenso's in 4x114.3 with +40 offset. The RS5's are available in 16" and 17"

Also might be worth trying some Nissan wreckers, S13 sylvia has same offset and PCD

Will the 15 offset work? I think we need like 25 or so on a 7" wheel...

I have a set of 15x7 25mm watanabes that need to be stripped and repainted. I thought about using these for track rims but I have a set of 14x6 borbets that I more likely will use.

I have a set of powered coated Mazda GTX rims that would likely fit a SE nicely - alas only 14" size.

They have various offsets..
I was told that 15mm would work. I am trying to find a local distributor so that I can try one on before I buy them. As I said it will be several months before I dive into it completely. Look at the rotawheels.com site and you will see the different colors and offsets they offer.
Also, there is a thread is this section where one of our fellow 1st genr installed Sportmax rims in a 15X8 size with 15mm offset on his SE and posted various views of the wheels installed on the car and they fit really nice. Look up the thread and you will see how nice they fit on his car so that makes me believe that 15mm will be just fine.
