Nice. Good to see another S2 S running around. So far you're the only person I've seen to have the exact same steering wheel as me. Did you swap to the Aluminum wheels or did the previous owner? Looks like it's in pretty decent shape. I like the primer look LOL

the previous owner (one of them but im not sure which one ) put them on there. When i bought the car it already had them. I like my steering wheel but i would prefer a GS steering wheel as it is a little more comfortable in my big *** hands.

I like my steering wheel but it has a short in it somewhere so the horn goes off randomly LOL. It's pretty funny LOL. I'm replacing it with the Efini wheek though. I defibitely like the aluminum FB wheels over the steel ones but I'm eventually replacing those with Panas or Watanabes

i do plan to do all the work myself. i primed it myself because the previous owner has used spray glos black on it and made lots or runs as well as having thin spots, bubbles, and spots where the paint just didn't bond. recently i have been trying to get the money to repair my suspension. it is really low right now because the strut carts., springs, and shocks are all toast. I believe that the previous owner was drifting it due to the suspension wear, syncro damage to second gear of the tranny, and what may possibly be a bent front hub on the drivers side or a bent strut tower. i can't tell which yet. The lower control arm on the pass. side is also warped and currently has a ball joint welded in to it (by my doing) because of money constraints.

the rear sheel berrings feel like they are going out and i am almost positive that the diff has to be rebuilt as well. I have a question though...how can a noob like me repair the hole in the back area cheaply and effectively. I'm not worried about it looking new as i am building this car for race and not show, but i don't want it to leak like a siv during the nor cal winters.

Also is there anyone in/around stockton that can come look at it and help me make a list of stuff i need to work on/replace/upgrade?

u have pretty much stated what u need to replace just thinkin where to start is the hardest part lol with these 20yr old cars everything needs to be looked at thats why i asked if u were prepaird to do the work your self cause ull have akot hours to spend on it

and a high paid job is in order to sustain this addiction hehehe

oh well im out for the night

well, as far as the hard paid job goes.....i make a measly 7.75 an hour at an ittallian restaurant, but i get raises every 3-4 months so it will start to get better.

like you said the hard part is deciding where to start....and i am totally lost because so much stuff that i deem critical needs to be replaced....

i think i will probably start with suspension since it seems to run and drive ok.
other than vibrating like a ***** when i drive down the road over 25 mph that is

but yes i am in fact willing and for the most part able to do the work in my garage/on the street at my house.

as a matter of fact my neighbor said he would help me patch that hole tomorrow with some fiberglass and filler.
