Finally got my new exhaust system in, but...

Got my Bonez converter system and power pulse muffler, stock mid pipe. The funny thing is, I actually lost a bit of power. I had a huge exhaust leak that was making the car so noisy, neighbours were getting ready to file lawsuits

The car is now 10 times less noisy of course, but I lost some of the zing it had before. It's like, before at 6000 rpm on 4th gear it would move agressively towards 7000 rpm, but now it slowly crawls towards it. It also lost some of the punch it had when I floored it on 2nd or 3rd. Oh well. Time to start saving up for the big mod: turbo!

Why did you spend $ getting a new exhaust when you're going to go turbo? Now you'll want a different exhaust that'll be a lot better for the turbo.

sometimes noise in exhaust makes you think that you have more power. This might be the case...

You have a point, but I had to replace the system anyways because of the noise, and didn't thought about having to change it when I go turbo. Turbo mod is probably going to be some months ahead. What kind of exhaust system would I be looking at with a turbo?

I hear you, and I had the same thought, that's why I compared acceleration at top speeds and while subtle, there is definitely a noticeable difference. At least now I can rev it up with more confidence, without fearing having cops giving me the evil eye...
