Fiero fan install question, help please

OK, I got my Fiero fan off ebay a week ago. $27.00 Shipped. Hooked it up to a battery charger and it works good. Well, I remember reading about hooking it up to the thermastat switch in the thermastat housing. The one that controls the choke.

Has anyone done this and is it working good. I will be removing the choke and carb when I get a weber set up. I at least want the switch to be used if its posible.

Thanks

The sensor that controls the choke on a 1st gen is on the back of the water pump housing not in the thermostat housing.

I used a REPU themostat housing that has threaded plug I removed and used a Honda switch to turn my fan on/of (wire to a relay)

2nd thermostat housing (not all have a threader switch) but it look too long for me.
