Yellow S2 Rx7 13BT that's exactly how I'm doing my front fenders... well similar to that at least. Same concept but once I'm gone with fixing all the little dings from the previous owner I'll be making a mold then making it in Fiberglass.
Scott do you have a local community college near you that has a body shop program? The school I went to for autobody did and we had a louver press. If you can handle having some students working on your fenders I'd recommend taking Just the fenders into the school. I shouldn't cost you anything besides materials.
If you could get a few louvers pressed then you could have each one cut out and fiber glassed into the fenders to match the curvature.

you could make a plate that bolts in for track use
where the front gaurd bolts at the bottom on the sill panel, where the jacking point is theres 2 bolts
you just need to space the bottom of the gaurd out, using the plate
openeing the gap between the front fender and the door, and producing a vent!!!
if you undo bolts and pull fender out you will see what i mean!!!!
oh remove the small bridge brace bolts halfway up inside fender/door gap
similar to my pics...
I was going to do this but i needed to go even wider to fit my wheels,
so i spliced 2 panels together
also raising your bonnet catch slightly and/or driving with the bonnet popped but secondary catched
allows the air trapped like a parachute underneath your bonnet to escape
at near 200kmh the bonnet actually floats when free
most japanese cars have washers stacked at the rear of the bonnet to vent trapped air for this reason

I have a plan to do something similar, except I am cutting the fender just below the rubber bump strip and fabbing a extension for a side vent connecting the engine compartment with the outside under the fender.
I' just got some spare bent fenders and will put something together in the next month once I clear my " to do list".

aint a rotor aint a motor
hmmmm why did i have to see RE-Amemiya stuff now..........
atleast its not avail anymore haha
if there was enough interest im sure they would produce a rerun of SA22C gear
Slammed_GSL, I know the style of louvers and cutting off the gaurds below the blak strip......should look sweet!!!!! cant wait to see pics!!!!!
If i didnt have the need to go so wide i woulda probly done that!!!!!!
lots of Jap drifters just cut the bottom ot the fender off and leave it,
after pulling the lip of the fender outwards as much as poss
