There use to be lots and lots of RX-7 chicks. This hot bank teller had a red RX-7, and a hot asian chick had a gold Rx-7. That's how I choose the RX-7.

The dealer says that the babes just love miatas, not the guys that drive them, but the cars themselves. The RX-8 buyer is invariably white, male, married, upper 40's, with a kid, and a bad back. They like the driver's motorized seat, especially the lumbar adjustment.

I'm a few years beyond 'chick'. I don't post very often because my car is stock, I rarely win a race, I don't do much work to it myself, and I'm too busy asking questions.
I guess that labels me as a typical female.
I'm on my second RX7, an '82 (first one was a '79).

And I have found the right one, maybe twice. Then after a lot of thought and deliberation I decided my money was better spent on my car. It tends to be much more reliable. Now every relationship I'm in I set their expectations that there are going to be times where I'm going to be spending more time and money on my car then on her, and if she can't deal with that buh-bye. I wish I was still a boy, I've had aenough life under me to go through 3 careers and become a disabled vet . I wish I was still a boy...

Hehe!

I love my car. Heck, I even got my plate personalized to RX7Girl. How cool is that?

Tammie
Isnt it so great how the RX makes you fall in love with it This is my 3rd one i sold the 1st it was an 83GSL was crashed but i had it repaired i wanted it b4 the guy crashed it but he didnt want to sell then he crashed it & Restored it but sold it, But i didn't falter as i was selling her i was replacing her with of course another 83 this time LIMITED EDITION painted it Deep Metalic Torredor Red had the car looking just the way i wanted it then i went chick crazy drove my baby in that nasty NYC snow the salt & the ice scrapping the underbody well Rust ate her alive. Now again with another 83 GSL but this one doesnt touch snow or ice & in the sping i will put MY GSL SE suspension 13B streetported engine & My Rims paint well In 2007 i have more interest in doing my motor exactly how i want it . An everything killer lol. well thats all 4 now. Just remember theres no substitute for a Rotary once you go rotary you never go Piston lol

Hey in due time you will learn more & more Mazda's logo back when the RX7 was starting to catch alot of attention was "MAZDA WE MAKE IT SIMPLE" It's not the hardest car to work on if you read quit a bit about the car & see posting in these forums you will learn more & more . You have to be willing to break a nail here & there smell like gear oil and get greasy from time to time . Or find one of the guys in the forum in here who lives close to you & just flirt til you get him whipped enough to work on your car or just act helpless & make it seem like if he doesnt help you the cars gonna suffer lol Cause there is no guy in this forum that can say that they would let anyone wreck an RX7 and just turn the cheak & let it happen..I met a guy making a mess to an RX7 & me & my boys offered to buy it to save it from PointDexter but he didnt want to sell so we helped him get it running right & shyed him away from some crazy inventions he had in mind .

the first I knew RX-7 owner was this obese nag of a woman. I had to work with her.

Anyone ever notice that the RX-8's body was inspired by the Batmobile? BMW's roadster has the same influence.

Wow, some of you guys got it bad..... I cant keep my woman off of my FB, she always wants to drive if we're going anywhere. We have actually been looking for another FB for the right price, even a fixer upper, so she can have one to. She just loves the way it looks. Do you have any idea how many girls just dont like it, I had one girl compare it to a block of cheese! crazy......

-waves- That would be me. I have an 85 GSL (that is yes, very very orange) and I'm looking into buying an '83 GSL sometime this week as well....well sorta. Roomie would be paying for it but the boy doesn't need it and cant drive a 5spd. I just got into them when i went nuts and bought mine for my 19th birthday in September. Its been one huge headache after another, hasnt run in 2 months (clutch slave went out...replaced it but realized the line going to it is bad, quit my job and cant afford to finish fixing it), but god i love that car. Pictures can be seen at www.myspace.com/corinne33. I've gone head over heels into the car world when i bought this car. Since im a poor college drop out i've done most of the work on it myself (mostly through trial and error).
