Has anyone ever put an fd rad into a 1st gen? Just curious how you mounted it.

 

I recently put a koyo FD rad in my FB!
Due to the size of it, it definately takes some creativity to mount.

Basically it is too tall and wide to fit in front of the swaybar, so I had to tuck the bottom in behind the swaybar and slant it forward.
I built a little crossmember for the rad that bolts to the frame rails from the below and allows the mounting pins on the bottom of the rad to drop into it.
On the top I just bent up some simple brackets for each side to locate the rad.
